Founded in 2022 by John Wiegand and Mike Clay, the firm runs on a two-discipline operating model: Construction Management, delivered through the EdgeControl™ Process, and Resource Management, delivered through the EdgeReady™ System. Every project is managed with an owner’s mindset, regardless of contract type.

The firm exists because most construction contractors are good at building or good at managing people, rarely both. New Edge was founded to do both, and to do them with an owner's mindset on every project.

How we grew.

New Edge was founded in 2022 by John Wiegand and Mike Clay. The leadership team carries more than 150 years of combined construction experience, drawn from ten elite national general contractors. That depth is what lets the firm run engagements at a level most four-year-old companies cannot.

Why two disciplines.

Construction Management delivers projects directly under CM and GC contracts, priced on an open book. Resource Management places embedded talent that runs the work with the same CM mindset. Both stand on the same senior team and the same operating standard.

Few firms offer both under one roof, with the same people behind each. For owners and builders, that means one accountable relationship — whether you need a project delivered or your own team strengthened.
